More than 900 kids compete in OCBC Cycle

2012-03-05

SINGAPORE: More than 900 kids took part in the OCBC Cycle Singapore event at the F1 Pit Building on March 3, 2012.
Last year, the event attracted 800 participants.
With various categories catering to the different age groups, the event is fast cementing its reputation as a bike race for all ages.
From the really young toddlers aged two to five on their three-wheelers, to the older kids who took part in the five kilometre ride, some also turned it into a family affair.

This year, a new race called Junior Challenge was added for the older kids of up to 12 years old, who are naturally more competitive.
The three-day event started with the Professional Criterium on March 2, 2012, and ends on Sunday with adult races like the Community Ride and Super Challenge.
