The Sport Affairs Department of Qatar Olympic Committee, will organize the Olympic Day Run at the Aspire Zone on Friday, April 17, 2009.
Mr Khalil Ibrahim Al Jaber, the head of SAD told reporters that the 3km race will witness participants of different age groups including men, women, youth, juniors, kids and parents.
Al Jaber stressed that all participants must conduct an earlier obligatory medical check from April 5-9 at 3 pm at the QOC headquarters before they start of the race. The registered athletes from local sport clubs are not allowed to take part in the Olympic event.
Moreover, Al Jaber urged the participants to complete registration forms with recent passport size photo, personal details and ID copy. He also advises the participants to comply by the rules and regulations of the race.
According to the organizers, valuable financial awards alongside other surprises are allocated for top three winners in each categories.
