Indian Sports Ministry Sanctions over Rs 142 crore to 14 States for creation of basic sports facilities in villages

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has cleared the proposals worth over Rs. 142.24 crore for providing Grant-in-Aid to fourteen States for creation of basic sports infrastructure in 12854 village panchayats and 376 block panchayats under Panchayat Yuva Krida Aur Khel Abhiyan (PYKKA) during the year 2008-2009.
