The Largest Surf Life Saving Event in the World

The Australian Surf Life Saving Championships is the biggest event of its kind worldwide. Over 6000 surf life saving competitors from more that 200 clubs nationwide are anticipated to flock to Scarborough Beach for the titles. The Championships are to be held from 1 to 6 April 2008.The Surf Life Saving Championships are always the pinnacle of the hectic season for surf lifesavers. Each competitor, whether individual or a member of a club will fight against the wind, the waves and the best lifesavers this country have produced. All of this are to gain the titles of best Iron men, boat crews, rescue and resuscitation teams, swimmers, ski paddlers, march past teams runners and board riders in the country.
