Family Walking in Iran

In a recent interview, Mr. Heidari, President of Iran Sport for All Federation, showed satisfaction for developing sport among families, saying "one day all 70 million people of Iran doing sport are not inaccessible and in future we will see such a day." He hinted to the Family Walking gathering in the end of Iranian year which was conducted in March 13, 2009, with participation of the interested people of Kermanshah, the Manager of Physical Education Department and other officials in Kermanshah. Mr. Heidari said: "In this gathering over 300 thousand people participated and walked 4 kilometers from Shahed Park to Bostan Arch." And he thanked Physical Education Department and all departments who helped to conduct this gathering. In the end of this gathering the Government provided financial support in the form of cash rewards, prizes and sports clothing. And in this gathering about 70 percent participants are women. Mr. Heidari pointed out: "we will have many gatherings in the next year with cooperation of Iran Physical Education Organization and Sport for All Federation. The people have shown many interests in our programs and they are intended to do sport. I am sure that in future 70 million Iranian people will do sport. "
