Fourteenth ESEAN Senior Officials Meeting on SportsSeventh ASEAN Ministerial Meeting

Location: Chiang Mai, Thailand

The successful 7th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Sports took place in Chiang Mai, Thailand from August 28th to September 2nd, 2023. The meeting brought together ministerial-level representatives from 12 countries, including Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, China, and Japan.

As the Secretary-General of the Asian Sport for All Association (ASFAA), Mr. Hagay Herzel showcased and promoted ASFAA to the aforementioned Asian countries during the meeting. He extended invitations to these nations to become part of ASFAA, particularly encouraging their participation in the upcoming 17th ASFAA Congress to be held in Macau, China in 2024. Additionally, Mr. Hagay Herzel held formal meetings with with Director General of the Department of Physical Education and his Deputy, introducing them to the significance and value of ASFAA.

During the meeting, Mr. Hagay Herzel delivered a speech and engaged in discussions and exchanges with representatives from various countries. This meeting held great importance and significance for sports ministers, and deputy ministers in the Asian region.

We believe that through participation in this meeting, the strength and influence of ASFAA will be greatly enhanced. In the future, ASFAA will play a greater role in the Asian region, making more significant contributions to the development of sports for all.
